Hi all, my mother is suffering from breast cancer. She is 63 years old. She is a very sensitive person. She has become more tensed upon hearing about her disease. She used to say that she is having itching on the breast. She had pain in her nipples. I had a doubt whether it was breast cancer so I took her to a doctor and after undergoing a mammogram her disease was confirmed. She is really worried now. Most probably her chemo will start next week. Right now, my sister stay at home to take care of her but she will leave immediately. I can't take leave from the office. I thought of resigning from the job but if I resign, it will affect me financially. Some of my friends suggested appointing a caregiver for her. Finally, I contacted a home health care in Toronto for appointing a nurse. I hope she will be able to help my mother. I need to ensure that she is in safe hands. How can I help her to adjust to this situation?
