Chapter 2: Keep your brain alive – Part 1
NOTE #1: Before reading this chapter READ THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THIS ARTICLE to learn about the causes of Alzheimer's and the politics of disease.
This chapter assumes the problem is not microbes and their mycotoxins.

There are many things that will help keep your brain alive as you age. However, nine of these items are simply in a league of their own. While no two people would pick the same “Big Nine,” this is a very, very, very good list.
The FIRST thing you need to do is throw away any aluminum pots and pans and anything else which can get aluminum in your body. Avoid vaccinations like the plague, especially “mercury free” vaccinations. Instead of mercury these vaccines generally contain aluminum. Both mercury and aluminum will destroy your brain so if you get a vaccination make sure it does not have ANY metals in it.
Second, everyone needs to “chelate” the aluminum (e.g. pull the aluminum) that is already in their body. The first two items in this list do just that. The others help in different ways.
I would strongly recommend doing one of the first two items, which actually gets the aluminum out of the body and then doing as many of the other items as you wish to do.
If you don't get rid of the aluminum, the other things are just treating symptoms.
#1 – Natural Cellular Defense (NCD by Waiora) – Chelation
Because Alzheimer's is so often caused by an accumulation of aluminum particles in the brain, the ideal way to treat Alzheimer's would be to “chelate” the aluminum. To “chelate” means to bind the aluminum to another type of molecule and for the combination of the chelating item (i.e. the molecule that binds to aluminum) and the aluminum to be flushed out of the body together.
It is actually a two step process:
First, you must find a molecule that will bind to aluminum and
Second, you must find a way to flush the aluminum (bound to another molecule) out of the body.
It turns out that both of these steps are difficult.
Most normal chelating items do not bind to aluminum most likely because aluminum does not have the electrical charge of a molecule like mercury.
Also, there are some molecules which will bind to aluminum, but it is difficult to get them out of the body after they are bound together.
The #1 and #2 items on this page do will both things, but in entirely different ways. You should do both of these techniques, but not at the same time.
“Natural Cellular Defense” (NCD) is the first item. Natural Cellular Defense forms a strong bond with aluminum and easily carries it out of the body.
Zeolites are actually a very small structure, which can be thought of as a very small cage. The aluminum actually ends up bound to the cage. The body can then excrete the aluminum the same way it gets rid of food.
While there are many different brands of zeolites, this is the only brand of zeolites for which I have seen testimonials that I deem significant. This does not mean that some other brand does not “chelate” aluminum from the brain, but this is the only brand I can currently endorse.

#2A – MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) – Chelation
MSM works in more than one way when treating Alzheimer's, depending on the circumstances. That is why MSM is mentioned three different times on this page.
One thing MSM will do is “bind” to aluminum. However, getting the MSM and aluminum out of the body is not as simple as it seems. The “binding” is weak and does not last long enough for the body to excrete the combination of MSM and aluminum.
WARNING #1: Many brands of MSM are virtually worthless. You should buy your MSM from here:
WARNING #2: Clorox can cause the skin to burn. The first time you do this bath, use no more than 1/8th of a cup. Build up the amount of Clorox in the 3 or 4 baths (i.e. increase the dose in consecutive baths), at your own rate, until you can build up to the 3/4 cup mentioned in the article. Then follow the protocol.
There is no need to build-up to the MSM doses, always use the recommended doses.
Note: It is possible that this protocol does not work in the way it is advertised. It is possible this protocol works by killing microbes in the bloodstream and pulling the mycotoxins out of the blood.
#2B – MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) – Solvent
As already mentioned, MSM can help an Alzheimer's patient by chelating aluminum. But there is actually another way that MSM can help.

If you read the “Alzheimer's Research Article,” just mentioned, it should be remembered that DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide) is a solvent and may be able to dissolve the “red cellophane-looking” substance mentioned in the article. More will be said about DMSO in a moment, but for now, know that some MSM is converted into DMSO once inside the body thus MSM may be able to help dissolve some of the “red cellophane-looking” substance.
#2C – MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) – Nutrients
This is the third way that MSM can help an Alzheimer's patient. In fact, an Alzheimer's patient should take MSM for a long time even after their memory comes back. This is both because it is a solvent (as already mentioned) and because it is a superb nutrient.
There are three key things every cell in the brain critically needs: oxygen, a methyl group of molecules and a sulfur group.
Two molecules were designed by Mother Nature to provide all three of these key molecules:
1) DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) and
These two molecules get into the brain quickly and provide tremendous support for the brain.
DMSO and MSM are closely related molecules. The main difference between them is that MSM has an extra oxygen molecule and that is good.
Both molecules contain a methyl group. This is a key molecule for the brain. Entire books have been written on the methyl molecule.
Both molecules contain an organic sulfur molecule. Food processing and farming remove virtually all organic sulfur from our diets.
Both molecules help reduce swelling and inflammation, they get oxygen into the brain, they help rebuild nerves (DMSO is known to regenerate nerves) and have other benefits.
The bad news is that DMSO creates severe body odor and severe bad breath. Even less than 20 drops can cause an entire room to smell bad. It does this because once inside the body DMSO is broken down into DMS and MSM. It is the DMS that causes the sulfur odor.
That is why MSM is recommended instead of DMSO.
While some of the MSM is broken down into DMSO and DMS, there is no severe body odor with MSM, there is only temporary bad breath. But it is worth it!! All you have to do is eat something after you take it or take a breath mint.
A word of warning. MSM should not be taken as a pill (unless you buy it from Karl Loren who knows what he is doing). Most pill makers add anti-clumping chemicals in order to get the MSM inside of the pills. These anti-clumping chemicals largely destroy the value of the MSM.
MSM is usually taken as a powder or in crystal form. The average person of 200 pounds should take an average of 5 to 10 grams of MSM a day, though they could take 20 grams a day or more if needed.
A person needs to start taking one gram a day and build-up over a period of several days to get to their main dose. The build-up is needed so that the digestive tract gets used to processing it.

#3 – NADH – The Energizing Coenzyme
Every cell in the body gets its energy from ATP molecules which are created in the mitochondria of the cell. The process goes something like this:
1) glucose enters into each cell and is converted into pyruvate,
2) pyruvate enters into the mitochondria,
3) once inside the mitochondria, pyruvate starts a chemical cycle called the Krebs Cycle or the Citric Acid Cycle. This cycle creates some ATP molecules, but then,
4) a spin-off of the Citric Acid cycle, called the Electron Transport Chain (ETC), creates the bulk of the ATP molecules in the cell.
It is the ATP molecules which provide the energy of every cell in our body. As we age, and for a variety of reasons, the production of ATP molecules drops over time.
NADH and CoEnzyme Q10 (which will be discussed next) provide energy to the cell. They significantly help the production of ATP molecules and they help in other ways to provide energy to the cells.

#5 – Vibe (liquid), by Eniva
A liquid ionic vitamin/mineral supplement that has been used for cancer treatments for the past few years has been showing dramatic and fast results among those who already have dementia. The product is called Vibe, a liquid supplement, by a company called Eniva. It is making significant changes in mental clarity within a matter of days. The suggested dose is 1/2 ounce for 2 days, 3/4 ounce for 3 days, 1 ounce for 3 days, then level off at 2 ounces a day. Within 2 weeks there should be a significant change.
After a few weeks, the patient should be able to maintain their condition on one ounce a day. I have to think that the combination of 1 ounce of Vibe every day, combined with 2 ounces of Tahitian Noni Juice (yes, use that brand) would be a very potent maintenance plan.

#6a – Getting The Good Fats Into the Brain – Part 1
A discovery made by Johanna Budwig, which is frequently used in cancer treatments and in Type II diabetes treatments, is the best way to get the good fats into the brain.
First of all, REMOVE ALL BAD FATS FROM YOUR DIET. This includes removing trans-fatty acids (i.e. partially hydrogenated oils) and most saturated fats from animals (saturated fats from plants are good). Any fat cooked at high temperature should also be avoided (e.g. corn oil, vegetable oils, etc.). These things are critical to avoid.
Next, you need to buy some high quality, LIQUID omega-3 supplements. Here are some good examples:
1) Barlean's Highest Lignan Content Flax Oil, for high ratio omega-3 to omega-6, which must be refrigerated.
2) Udo's Choice Oil Blend (purchased in the refrigerated section at Whole Foods) for omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9,
3) Carlson Fish Oil (Omega-3's DHA and EPA), to make sure the patient gets more omega-3s than omega 6s AND to get the long-chain omega-3s,
These are the key supplements. The ideal situation would be to get most of the omega 3 from items 1 and 2 above but to also mix in some Carlson Fish Oil to get the long-chain omega 3s.
It is critical to mix one or more of these oils with some organic cottage cheese (best choice!), organic yogurt or skim milk. Actually, and this is very important, the organic cottage cheese, organic yogurt or skim milk and your source of omega 3 should be thoroughly mixed together before eating. This combination and mixing will convert the oil soluble omega 3 into water-soluble omega 3.
So here is how you need to take your omega 3 supplements. To make “one bowl” mix 2 tablespoons of the omega 3 oils mentioned above (or a combination of them) with 1 cup of organic cottage cheese or 3 cups of organic yogurt (or 5 cups of skim milk). Mix them together for a couple of minutes and let it sit for a couple of more minutes. This will convert the omega 3 from oil soluble to water soluble.
At this point, you can sprinkle in some cinnamon and add some fruits or other things to meet your taste requirements.
Eat one or two bowls of this every day. This means you will get 2 or 4 tablespoons of high-quality water-soluble omega-3 every day.
Remember to shake the bottle of oil each time before you use it.
Another simple way to make the Budwig Diet is to put 2 TABLEspoons of the Barlean's Highest Lignan Content Flax Oil with 4 OUNCES of Kefir and mix well.
Try both of these formulas and use the one that helps the most. These will get electron-rich fats to the brain cells.

#6b – Getting The Good Fats Into the Brain – Part 2
Listen to this carefully, a REQUIRED, absolutely REQUIRED product that needs to be taken is a high-quality coconut oil. Coconut oil contains MCTs (Medium-Chain triglycerides). MCT oils have done miracles with Alzheimer's patients. They ALWAYS improve cognition and frequently allow massive improvements.
However, it is important to note that they need to be taken indefinitely.
While MCTs increase the body's production of ketones, do not take ketone supplements. They are nowhere near as effective as the complete coconut oil with the MCT oils!!
#7 – EDTA and/or Chlorella, etc. [May Chelate Some Aluminum!]
While EDTA and chlorella may chelate some aluminum, in this section the concern in chelating mercury.
While heavy metals do physical damage to the brain, it is important to remove the heavy metals from the brain before they do even more damage. If you have dental amalgam, and almost everyone does, every time you eat mercury vapors are released into your brain.
There are several ways to “chelate” heavy metals (i.e. to “chelate” means to find a molecule that binds to heavy metals and removes the heavy metals from the body). The best chelation therapy is EDTA chelation therapy, given as an I.V. by a medical doctor.
This treatment has been known about for decades, but because EDTA chelation is not profitable enough for orthodox medicine (orthodox medicine likes all diseases to be chronic diseases because chronic diseases are far more profitable than actually curing people) the treatment has been ignored.

- “The Alzheimer's type of dementia does respond rather well to [EDTA] chelation therapy. Fifteen Alzheimer's disease patients, in a private clinical setting, were tested first, then administered chelation therapy, and were observed by loved ones to have returned to normal, or near normal, functioning. It was a gratifying experience for everyone involved with the testing and treatment: diagnosticians, clinicians, health care technicians, the patients, plus their family and friends.”

Everyone was gratified except Big Pharma.
Not everyone can get access to EDTA chelation therapy. EDTA is also sold as pills, which is called “oral chelation.” Oral chelation products generally contain a large number of other chelating molecules, not just EDTA.
Another recommended chelating item is a single-celled plant called chlorella. If you cannot get EDTA chelation as an I.V., chlorella is a very viable option. Dosage should start at 2 or 3 pills a day, and slowly build up to the maximum dosage recommended by the vendor or 15 pills a day (the pills are very small). The build-up is to avoid diarrhea.
A word of warning is in order. Chlorella will chelate some good minerals from the body, thus if you are TREATING a heavy metal problem you would likely build-up to 15 or more pills a day. However, if you are simply trying to keep new heavy metals from your brain, a dose of 5 to 7 pills a day is probably fine.
But also take a quality liquid mineral supplement every day, such as Cellfood, Eniva Vibe liquid, and others.
Do not exceed the maximum dosage on the bottle because chlorella contains vitamin K. It should not be taken with blood thinners or in high doses except for very short periods of time (such as the day you get your dental amalgam removed).
If you are on blood thinners let your medical doctor know you are taking this product.
If a person has their dental amalgam removed from their teeth, a great deal of mercury will be released by the dentist removing the mercury. A person should take 20 or 30 chlorella pills (do not have the dental surgery before you build up to these doses) both BEFORE and AFTER the surgery, to chelate the high amounts of mercury being released. This dosage is obviously for a very short amount of time. Let your doctor know if you are on blood thinners.
If you decide to have your mercury removed, you must realize that very, very, very few dentists are qualified to safely get rid of mercury and dental infections (you might as well do both). The average family dentist knows no more about safely removing mercury than they know how to launch a space shuttle.

Other chelators of heavy metals (which may chelate aluminum) include organic germanium, alpha lipoic acid, and NAC (N-acetyl-L-cysteine). Eating apples will also help.
#8 – Vitamin B12
I recently purchased a book which has led me to believe that a significant number of cases of Alzheimer's and MS (and a number of other brain disorders) are caused by a Vitamin B12 deficiency.
The problem is that even in those rare situations where orthodox medicine checks for B12 deficiencies their charts for detecting a deficiency are dead wrong. They may say a patient does not have a deficiency when in fact they have a deadly deficiency.
The other problem is that taking oral B12 is not as effective as injections for severe cases. If a person really has a B12 deficiency then a very specific protocol (which very few people know about), which involves injections of a specific type of B12, are necessary.
The bottom line is this: if the patient does have a Vitamin B12 deficiency YOU, the caregiver, are going to have to take charge and tell your medical doctors what they need to do to check for a B12 deficiency AND what kinds of injections, and how often, are needed!!
The “Bible” on this subject is the book: Could It Be B12? – An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses, Second Edition, by Sally M. Pacholok and Jeffrey J. Stuart. This book will tell you how to get a proper diagnosis of a B12 deficiency.

Here is a summary list of things that a person might put together to deal with their dementia, assuming they have been exposed to aluminum pots and pans, dental amalgam, etc.
Some of these items are not discussed above.
1) Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) – Liquid Zeolites (12 drops a day minimum),
2) MSM, build up to 20 to 50 grams a day (take at least one hour AFTER the NCD),
3) Life Glow Plus (see the Karl Loren website for doses),
4) Kyoto Chlorella (10 of the small pills),
5) Turmeric herb (take 5 minutes after the MSM – also helps prevent cancer),
6) Coconut Oil (possibly Coconut Water as well),
7) Lithium Aspartate or Lithium Orotate (see: Lithium Information),
8) Almond Milk,
9) Budwig Diet (2 TABLEspoons of Barlene's Flax Seed Oil mixed in 4 OUNCES of flavored Kefir daily),
10) Barley Power (i.e. Brand: Green Supreme Plus Cayenne) (*),
11) Extra Vitamin C (at least two hours after the Budwig),
12) Extra Vitamin E (at least two hours after the Budwig),
13) Extra Vitamin B12 (at least two hours after the Budwig),
14) Purple grape juice (hopefully organic [i.e. no pesticides]), helps the cells be permeable),
16) A good multi-vitamin,
17) Quit eating processed sugar and dairy products!!
18) THROW AWAY all aluminim pots and pans, aluminum foil, etc.
19) Take an MSM + Clorox bath from time to time as needed.
(*) Start at 1 pill, twice a day, ALWAYS after a meal. Build up to 4 pills, twice a day, ALWAYS after a meal. Only for those with a normal heart.
RECOMMENDED FOR THE BRAIN (CELL ENERGY)
Note: Do not take these within two hours of the Budwig
1) D-Ribose – 10-15 grams a day,
4) L-Carnitate (500 mg),
5) L-Lysine (500 mg),
6) Selenium (varies by brand – use dose on bottle),
7) Hawthorne (200 mg)
