I’ve read in several places that it is imperative that the root of the sheep sorrel be used instead of the just the leaves and stems. There are only a few brands out there that use the root. I’ve only found two and they were difficult to find. Star West, although it says on amazon it uses the root, is not one of them when you look at their website. Essiac Northwest is a brand that seems to use the root. Could someone elaborate on this? Also, seems like the roots’ oxalate levels are safe compared to the oxalates in the leaved and stem.

Rene Caisse boiled sheep sorrel with root included, so I would too.
