Hello all, New here and not sure if this is where I should post! Please accept my apology if so. I had my 11 year old female cat diagnosed with tumors/cancer of her lungs :(.. I am really devastated with this news, and was wondering if there is any hope for her to recover? I have been reading a lot on the internet about some natural ways such as Baking soda/ maple syrup, cannabis oil, etc…. Not sure which way to start out? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

    Sincerely,

    Mario P.

I am sorry to hear about the cancer diagnosis on your 11 yr old furbaby. It seems like you love her very much, else you wouldn't have posted here. My 12 year old cat, Toki was also recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on the lower jaw (another terrible place to get cancer). 🙁

First, if you haven't done so yet, I would read the article “what to do today” here. You can get the supplements at a health food store (I don't know where you live, but I have a Vitamin Shoppe nearby). It says the MSM and D-Ribose amounts are unlimited, but you may want to halve the Vitamin C dosage, since too much at once can upset her stomach.

I would also join Yahoo's Holistic Feline Support Group. I know, Yahoo does not have the best reputation, but I think this group is wonderful. You have to get approval from the group's admin to post, but with a simple email, you should be able to get in with no problems. You may also get faster responses this way, instead of this forum.

If you can afford it, I would look into finding a holistic vet nearby. I am fortunate to have one less than 15 minutes away from my house and the vet is wonderful with the bedside manner and customer service. I think that cancer is not a “one size fits all” approach and getting advice for your cat's particular cancer is really important.
