BPH patients who have been prescribed Finasteride (Proscar), and having used for two years or more appear to be at increased risk for developing an aggressive form of cancer. I have recently been informed of this risk at my last Urologist visit. Now I'm scheduled for a biopsy and Cystoscopy.
Has anyone else experienced this situation?

Well , as suspected , the biopsy revealed Adenocarcinoma in one area and ASAP+PIN in another. Thank God Almighty it was not not a highly aggressive variety. My Urologist suggested a ” Watch Carefully and Monitor approach” Never the less, I intend to be proactive and use the Protocols listed , to knock down my PSA leading up to my “6th month” PSA test.

Gus- if you don't want to wait 6 mos for your PSA numbers, you can do your own labs through Life Extension. They contract with Lab Corp. I do it all the time.

Thanks for the tip! I've seen several lab services online , and as many ” bad ” reviews about their results. Guess I didn't want to risk inaccurate info.
